On November 20, 2022, the Fudan Version of 2021 China Hospital Ranking and 2021 China Hospital Specialty Reputation Ranking were released, among which Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology took the 7th place. The hospital has been ranked among the top ten for three consecutive years, standing firmly at the top level nationwide.
In the China Hospital Specialty Reputation Ranking released this time, 8 specialties of the hospital ranked among the top ten, and 5 specialties ranked among the top five, including Nuclear Medicine as No. 2, Pharmacy as No. 3, Cardiovascular Surgery as No. 3, Plastic Surgery as No. 5, Ultrasonography as No. 5, Hematology as No. 6, Anaesthesiology as No. 7, ENT as No. 7. There are also 22 departments nominated by the Ranking, which are Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Urology, Pediatric Surgery, Radiology, Infectious Diseases, Geriatrics, General Surgery, Dermatology, Respiratory Medicine, Stomatology, Neurosurgery, Laboratory Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Nephrology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, and Rheumatology.
2021 Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics
On August 4, 2022, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences held the 2021 Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (STEM) Press Conference & Accumulative Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (ASTEM) Press Conference, and released the STEM & ASTEM rankings, among which Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology took the 7th place in the national overall ranking.
The Fudan Version of China’s Hospital Rankings and STEM & ASTEM results are main criteria to measure the comprehensive strength as well as the scientific and technological development of China’s hospitals.
