New campus of Union Hospital opens by Jinyin Lake
Jinyinhu Campus of Union Hospital is situated on the bank of the beautiful Jinyin Lake, providing access to medical services to the neighborhood within 30 minutes. The campus is accessible by express way and public transit free from traffic jam. The opening of Jinyinhu Campus fills the gap in class-A tertiary hospitals in west and north Wuhan and it is meant to become a medical center in northwest Wuhan.
Jinyinhu Campus is home to 38 departments available at the Main Campus, covering internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and pediatrics, plus 10 national key (development) disciplines and 25 national key clinical specialties. The new campus provides specialist clinics and special diseases clinics. Department leaders, distinguished experts and top professors of Union Hospital will offer consultations here, and all consulting doctors are chief or associate chief physicians.

Phase I of Jinyinhu Campus provides 600 beds, and 80% of all departments have wards on the new campus, attended by a selected medical crew. The new campus enjoys seamless connection to the Main Campus in terms of quality medical resources and services. All administrative and medical staff members are selected by the Main Campus to realize "integrated management, equal-quality healthcare".

Stepping into this classical "red building", a new landmark in Wuhan, you may see the spacious and bright main medical street, with sunshine passing through the skylight and floodlighting every floor. The unique "medical street" design is a hallmark of the E-shaped Jinyinhu Campus. The intrinsic logic of medical processes is taken into account in the hospital design. Featuring a broad flat plan, the building is divided into two parts by the medical street, with the outpatient area on one side and the examination area on the other. Indoor direct access to Inpatient Area and Operating Theatre is available. Patients may take a break at the hanging garden between the functional areas, or enjoy delicious food along the commercial street. All medical and life services are offered within the building.

Patients may do everything on their cell phones. After following Union Hospital WeChat account, registration and binding, users may make registration, pay examination bills and inquire reports on cell phone. By presenting admission forms issued by the Main Campus, patients can be admitted into Jinyinhu Campus. The results of examinations done at any campus can be inquired timely and mutually recognized.

Three shuttle buses operate between Main Campus and Jinyinhu Campus (departure at 9:30/11:30/16:00 at Main Campus for Jinyinhu Campus; departure at 8:30/10:30/15:00 at Jinyinhu Campus for Main Campus) for the convenience of patients.
